Salty At Heart

We have been trying for years to pick publications to submit my written work to that are aligned with my message and the work I do. I know it’s not about the masses of readership – the quantity – but the quality of the publication, its mission and its contributors. In the end it will be the people who want to read inspiring and uplifting work and allow themselves to be swept away into what they are reading and feel better, especially in times like we are in the midst of.

My eye caught this publication while in my co-op when I first moved to North Carolina. I enjoyed the quick read of articles and quotes that were upbeat, inspiring and light hearted. It made me feel good. With so much struggle and suffering in the world that the media covers 24/7, it is refreshing to be a part of some one’s vision that captures the spirit within each of us. An undeniable resilient fire within us that longs to feel calm.

Being published as a contributing writer in Salty At Heart was a yearlong effort put forth by my team. It is exactly the kind of magazine I always envisioned creating with my e-newsletter All Things Alchemical. Everywhere we look we are being bombarded by “information”. And more often than not, its not uplifting energy that we are engaging with. It is important to be informed and it’s important to be aware and it’s equally important to stay empowered and not get swept away with negatively impacting information that renders us feeling uneasy, fearful and distracted.

We choose what media to be drawn into while absorbing what we see, hear, feel and read. It impacts us on a cellular level and creates either discord or harmony within the cell according to the frequency of the content. We are energetic beings made up of a community of about 50 trillion living cells. There is not one function in the human body that is not present in every cell. And each cell is a live individual living in community with other cells. So in order to thrive within a harmonious healthy community we need to know we have choices.

Why does all of this really matter, you may be wondering? Because our digestive, excretory, musculoskeletal, respiratory, nervous, endocrine, reproductive and immune systems exist in every one of our cells.

A healthy, happy human has a frequency that sits in a range of between 62-68 MHz. Sickness and disease begin to kick in at 58 MHz. As you see, it doesn’t take much to lower our frequency to a level where we start to feel off. All the more important to make sure that you are choosing wisely what you allow into your environment and that includes what you’re reading and what you are surfing through. Of course the same rule applies with the people we surround ourselves with, and the thoughts we think.

So next time you grab something to read, watch or are surfing social media ask yourself if its something that is causing or adding stress or agitation in your life or is it taking you to a calm and peaceful place by inspiring you. Click here to check out Salty At Heart.

With Love to you,
