Travels Far and Wide

CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN located in Phoenix, has two strenuous trails that ascend 1,280 feet to its peak. We started out from the trailhead at 5:30 am and it took us 4 hours to climb up and back. My Note: Not for sissy’s for sure. A few diggers and a couple angels along the way made it fun and exciting. Great view.

GRAND CANYON is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Its stretch from rim to rim is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet). My Note: We entered the south rim and did the complete southern rim and hiked down halfway on OOH AAH Point. I would say – pass on the burro rides – with a “hell no!”

LOWER ANTELOPE CANYON is a sandstone slot canyon located on Navajo land in Page, Arizona northeast of the Grand Canyon. We climbed down into the canyon via a ladder and went through a quarter mile of breathtaking sandstone structures and valleys that felt like we were walking on another planet. My Note: Your footing and the climbing as well as narrow pathways can be challenging at times but the absolute beauty of the light filled canyon is unreal. Look for the chatty guide who is into photography to help with your photos.

VEGAS – We went – We won smallish loot – We left quickly My Note: For the Foodie – Gamble little and save your money for fabulous places to eat. We never got tired of finding incredibly tasty food and of course…places to people watch, capital W*O*W!
